The four seasons

Seasonal color analysis groups people by undertone (warm or cool) and how light and contrasting their coloring is.

Questions

How is my undertone worked out?

We average skin pixels from your cheeks and forehead and look at whether the color leans more yellow-golden (warm) or more pink-rosy (cool). Close to the middle reads as neutral.

Why did a different photo give a different season?

Cameras and lighting change skin color a lot. Warm indoor bulbs push results toward warm, shade and screens push toward cool. Daylight from a window, with no filter, gives the most consistent result.

What’s the difference between neutrals and accents?

Neutrals are the quiet base of a wardrobe: coats, trousers, shoes. Accents are the colors that do the most for your face, so they work best for tops, scarves and jewelry.

Are my photos stored?

No. Your photo is analyzed locally in your browser and isn’t uploaded to the AgeBooth server. The page loads its analysis library from a third-party CDN; see the Privacy Policy for details.

Is this as good as a professional color analysis?

No. A consultant drapes real fabric under controlled light. This is a quick, fun starting point; trust what you see in the mirror.
